Olkeri Mara Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp located on the edge of the Oloonkewuan hills in the Siana conservancy and on the eastern edge of the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.
From the camp, you see the panoramic view of the spectacular endless plains and the rolling hills of the Masai Mara landscape below.

Olkeri Mara consists of 12 luxury tents 10 being standard accommodation tents and 2 deluxe tents.

General Facilities

Personal attention and care is paramount to our service delivery. We offer unlimited mileage game drives with full day game drives at no extra charge in addition to the regular morning and afternoon game drives with the proficient help of our experienced driver guide who has an intimate knowledge of the Game Reserve. The camp conducts guided nature walkswhere can identify different animal spoors and spot the diverse Birdlife in the camps extensive grounds. Excursions to the Masai village are encouraged to enrich ones appreciation of the Maasai Culture. All meals are prepared by the camps chefs, offering hearty breakfasts, alfresco lunches and candle light dinners in the Mess Tent. Picnic breakfast/ Lunches are prepared if you prefer to stay out and explore the reserve all day long. A camp fire is lit from 6 pm onwards and the safari experience is shared with fellow guests while enjoying a drink as you await dinner. Biting are served with sundowner.

Your day is designed to be as exciting or relaxing as you wish. There is a variety of activities from which to choose from – game drives, interpretive bush walks, Masai community visits, and sundowners, picnic lunches to river crossing, spectacular bush banquets, and so much more to ensure a gratifying safari of a lifetime. A well worth it and recommended activity in the Masai Mara National Reserve is the balloon safari.

Guided Game Drives

We offer unlimited mileage game drives with full day game drives at no extra charge in addition to the regular morning and afternoon game drives.  Using custom build vehicles our multi lingual professional safari guides takes you through a thrilling game and bird viewing experience to remember. The early morning from 6 am to 9 am; the midmorning after breakfast and finally the late afternoon from 3.30 pm returning to camp at sunset. Or you can indulge in a full day guided game safari to the Mara River with a packed picnic breakfast and/or lunch.

Sundowner Cocktails

Instead of meeting at the bar for a drink, why not meet by the campfire where you can sip a cocktail  and watch the sun melt in the horizon. Evenings in the Mara come alive with the night animals like the bat-eared fox, the owls and the big cats like the lion and the leopard stirring to hunt under the cover of darkness. You simply cannot miss to drink a toast to Africa’s incredible diversity of wildlife.

Hot Air Balloon

Hot air balloon taking off in the beautiful early morning, you drift above the browsing game and have tremendous opportunities for unusual photographs. What could be more uplifting than an early morning safari in a hot air balloon flying over the vast plains of Africa? Witness an African sunrise as a plethora of wildlife roam the land beneath you.

You could step back in time and visit a Maasai village where you get a chance to interact with the Maasai people in their traditional setting and experience their culture. You also get an opportunity to purchase traditional Maasai souvenirs, art and collectibles.
Masai Dancers Entertainment
After a long day at the park, relax at the camp and watch the young morans dance the evening away performing their traditional dances. You can join in and experience the rich and untouched culture of the Maasai community

The months of July to October are perfect to watch the spectacular annual wilderbeest migration crossing the Mara river into the Masai Mara from Tanzania’s Serengeti Game Reserve.
