Dik Dik Hotel and Restaurant, built and managed by a Swiss family opened its doors in 1990. The hotel is situated at 1100 meters (3600 feet) above sea level at the foot of Mount Meru, half way between Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport. The hotel takes its name from one of the smallest gazelles in Africa, which live on the nearby mountain slopes.

The Swiss-built hotel restaurant was opened in 1990 and is managed by a Swiss family. Guests enjoy the highest standards of service in Tanzania. The restaurant is situated in beautiful grounds, Bird Lake, at the foot of the Mount Meru.
