At Onsea House we offer 5 tastefully decorated and peaceful rooms. The cosy and tranquil country inn, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, consists of 2 double suites and a family suite overlooking the Meru valley. The adjacent self-contained guest cottage, each room with private wooden balconies, can easily accommodate up to 6 people.

The Rooms NUMBER OF ROOMS: There are 10 rooms, including three superior rooms in the main house, two of which have balconies with views over the lake and forests to Mt Kilimanjaro. ROOM AMENITIES: Attractive en suite garden cottages. SPECIAL FEATURE: The gardens contain a profusion of trees and flowers. 200 species of birds have been recorded and troupes of colobus monkeys inhabit the forest and grounds. Food & Drink Meals are taken in the main house which has beautiful public areas, including two stylish dining rooms, a very comfortable lounge and verandah. General Facilities 24 hrs fresh water supply -or the first time in the history of this islet, fresh water is reaching by a pipeline from Zanzibar mainland; Full time generator to produce electricity; The privileged guests can acquire traditional art crafts and an endless range of souvenirs at the exclusive boutique. Special Feature: From its privileged situation in the western coast of Zanzibar Archipelago, Bawe Tropical Island affords a prime sunset location; the stunning spectacle of the sun setting in the clear African sky can be enjoyed from the Sun Deck on the highest and most western side of the island, indulging our senses with exotic cocktails from the bar, & hey, there are no dress codes here. Set in lush gardens amid forest and crystal clear waters on the slopes of Mount Meru, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to relax and simmer in the immense beauty of East Africa. The Lodge has been adapted from an early colonial farmhouse built in the early 20th century and it is one of the oldest family lodges in Arusha. Here you can spend the days amid nature, watching the changing colors of the Kilimanjaro glaciers while sipping drinks on the verandah or hiking in the forest inhabited by colobus and Sykes monkeys as well as hundreds of small animal and bird species. The Lodge is located only 30 minutes away from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town center and it is a perfect base while on safari in the northern circuit Tanzania. It offers only 10 garden rooms, 2 main house suites and pool cottage with 2 bedrooms, and provides personal service for its residents since 1974.
