Mara Serena Safari Lodge is styled to echo the circular motif of a traditional Maasai manyatta; the lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty while featuring twin rows of individual rooms, each with its own view of the famous Mara River. Room dcor: Each of the rooms, arranged like domed huts in a Masai Manyatta, is built to blend into the natural landscape and spread out to give an uninterrupted view of the plains, the meandering riverine forest, and the hills beyond. The color scheme is an adaptation of the bright Masai colors. Room amenities: Telephone, en-suite facilities, and bottled water ½ liter per person per day.

(The 15 new Superior tents are both longer and wider, with white canvas not green like the old ones, and have more luxurious finishing & furnishings in the room itself & the bathroom.) With a seating capacity of 160, the main dining room is spectacularly decorated in three large domes and three small ones resembling enlarged Maasai Manyattas. The full-service lounge and bar, with a seating capacity of 80, is located in the main building.
