Man Eaters camp is located a kilometre from Tsavo station, and Tsavo Bridge which became famous in Kenya’s colonial history for the Man Eaters of Tsavo. In this case specifically the story of two man eating maneless lions which terrorised the local and indian railway workers during the construction of the Kenya Uganda railway, and killed up to 135 workers, inspiring many movies such as Bwana Devil and The Ghost and Darkness.

Man Eaters is an exclusive facility comprising of 30 fully furnished ensuite spacious, luxury tents nestled on the banks of the Tsavo River. The camp enjoys a superior view of the Tsavo West National Park.

In- room amenities – The tents are equipped with deluxe beds and all of the amenities of a room in a five-star hotel. The is supply of electricity (220 & 110), fully stocked mini-bar, en-suite toilet, wash basin and generous slate walled shower room, both complete with piping hot and cold running water, primarily solar heated. Extra wall socket located in sleeping area with an adaptor for a hairdryer or battery recharging etc.
Special features:The lodge surroundings are protected by the banks of the Tsavo River. Animals get close to the hotel. The pool area, overlooking the river is gorgeous and there is nothing nicer than sitting there sipping a cocktail watching the elephants come by to quench their African savanna thirst.

The dining hall has many interesting period features, high vaulted ceiling, Chandelier, latticed windows and doors, dresser, buffets and tables decked in silverware, cut crystal and porcelain, perhaps after aperitifs and an exchange of game viewing tales at the bar.
